It seems the notion of nations states is becoming obsolete in the west, and national governments are turning into business teams, while nations states -- into corporations. Have you heard of the City of London Corporation?
If it is true, it explains why Merkel is so keen on having more immigrants in the EU: it is to boost the economic growth. She is a top executive, not someone concerned with preserving the ethnic or cultural identity of EU member states.

That's nonsense - Global Corporations will replace nation states, elected governments oder multinational institutions like the EU lose the battle against their financial power and greed - just look e.g. at TTIP!
